7 min read · 382 views · Updated Jun 02, 2026

Welcome to Momo Cloud! This guide walks you through everything you need to do in your first few days — from logging in for the first time to pointing your domain and opening a support ticket if you need help.

Step 1: Log In to Your Momo Cloud Client Area

Your Momo Cloud client area is your central dashboard for managing all your services, billing, domains, and support requests. After completing your sign-up, you will receive a welcome email containing your login link and username.

  1. Open the welcome email from Momo Cloud in your inbox.
  2. Click the link to visit the Momo Cloud website and navigate to the Client Login page.
  3. Enter the email address you registered with and the password you chose during sign-up.
  4. Click Login to access your dashboard.

Tip: If you cannot remember your password, click Forgot Password on the login page. A reset link will be sent to your registered email address within a few minutes.

Step 2: Verify Your Email Address

Momo Cloud requires you to verify your email address before you can use all account features. This protects your account and ensures you receive important billing and service notifications.

  1. Check your inbox for an email with the subject "Verify Your Email Address" from Momo Cloud. If you do not see it, check your spam or junk folder.
  2. Open the email and click the Verify Email button or the link provided.
  3. You will be redirected back to your client area confirming that your email has been verified.

Tip: If the verification email has expired or you did not receive it, log in to your client area, go to your Profile settings, and click Resend Verification Email.

Step 3: A Tour of Your Dashboard

Once you are logged in, take a few minutes to get familiar with the main sections of your Momo Cloud client area. Each section is designed to give you quick access to the things you need most.

Services / Hosting

The Services section lists all active hosting packages, VPS servers, and cloud products on your account. Click on any service to see its details, renewal date, and management options — including the button to log in to cPanel for shared hosting plans.

Domains

The Domains section shows all domain names registered through Momo Cloud. From here you can manage DNS records, update nameservers, enable or disable domain privacy, and renew or transfer domains. If you registered a .co.tz, .tz, or .com domain, it will appear in this list.

Invoices & Billing

Under Billing you will find all your invoices — both paid and unpaid. You can download PDF copies for your records and make payments using M-Pesa, Tigo Pesa, Airtel Money, or Visa/Mastercard directly from the invoice page.

Account Wallet

Your Momo Cloud wallet lets you add credit to your account in Tanzanian Shillings (TZS) in advance. When an invoice is due, funds are automatically deducted from your wallet balance, so your services renew without interruption. You can top up your wallet at any time from the Billing section using any of the supported payment methods.

Support Tickets

The Support section is where you open and track help requests. Momo Cloud provides 24/7 local Tanzanian support, so you can submit a ticket at any time and expect a prompt response from the team.

Step 4: Find Your Hosting (cPanel) Login

If you purchased a shared web hosting plan, your website files, databases, email accounts, and more are managed through cPanel. Here is how to access it:

  1. In your client area, click Services in the top navigation menu.
  2. Find your hosting package in the list and click on its name to open the service detail page.
  3. Look for the Login to cPanel button — clicking it will log you in automatically without needing a separate cPanel username and password.
  4. Alternatively, you can log in directly by navigating to your cPanel URL, which is typically your domain name followed by /cpanel (for example, yourdomain.co.tz/cpanel). Your cPanel username and password are shown on the service detail page.

Tip: Bookmark the direct cPanel login URL so you can access it quickly in the future without going through the client area every time.

Step 5: Point Your Domain to Momo Cloud

If you registered your domain elsewhere (at another registrar or a local registry) and want to host it on Momo Cloud, you need to update your domain's nameservers to point to Momo Cloud's name servers. This tells the internet to look for your website and email on Momo Cloud's servers.

Momo Cloud's nameservers are:

Nameserver Hostname
Primary ns1.momo.tz
Secondary ns2.momo.tz

If Your Domain Is Registered at Momo Cloud

  1. Go to Domains in your client area and click on the domain name you want to update.
  2. Select Nameservers from the domain management menu.
  3. Choose Use Custom Nameservers and enter ns1.momo.tz and ns2.momo.tz.
  4. Save your changes. Propagation typically takes 1 to 24 hours worldwide.

If Your Domain Is Registered Elsewhere

  1. Log in to the control panel of your current domain registrar (for example, GoDaddy, Namecheap, or the TZNIC portal for .co.tz and .tz domains).
  2. Find the Nameservers or DNS Settings section for your domain.
  3. Replace the existing nameservers with ns1.momo.tz and ns2.momo.tz.
  4. Save the change. Allow up to 24 hours for full propagation before your website and email go live on Momo Cloud.

Tip: While you are waiting for DNS propagation, you can already upload your website files via cPanel's File Manager or FTP, so your site is ready the moment the domain points to Momo Cloud.

Step 6: Set Up Your Business Email

If your plan includes email hosting, you can create professional email addresses (such as info@yourdomain.co.tz) directly inside cPanel under the Email Accounts section. To connect your email to an app like Outlook, Apple Mail, or Gmail, use the following mail server settings:

Setting Value
Incoming Mail Server (IMAP/POP3) mail.momo.tz
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) mail.momo.tz
Username Your full email address
Password The password you set when creating the email account in cPanel

Step 7: Open a Support Ticket

Momo Cloud's support team is available around the clock. If you run into any issue or have a question, opening a support ticket is the fastest way to get help.

  1. Log in to your client area and click Support in the main navigation.
  2. Click Open New Ticket.
  3. Select the relevant department (for example, Technical Support, Billing, or Domains).
  4. Enter a clear subject line and describe your issue in as much detail as possible. Include any error messages, your domain name, and the steps you have already tried.
  5. Click Submit. You will receive an email confirmation with your ticket number, and you can track the status from the Support section at any time.

Tip: The more detail you provide in your ticket, the faster the support team can resolve your issue. Screenshots are especially helpful for technical problems.
